Vantuono, Editor-in-ChiefNew York Air Brake (NYAB) Train Dynamic Systems Division (TDS) will add 15 to 20 new engineering jobs over the next year to its rapidly-growing operation, and move all Fort Worth personnel to a new, larger building, according to Michael Hawthorne, director of TDS. The company recently moved into a new building at 5201 Regent Blvd., Suite 130, Irving, Tex.
“New orders for both LEADER energy management software and TDS 5000 locomotive engineer training simulators are driving the need for more personnel,” Hawthorne said. “CSX has contracted for 14 new simulators and next month LEADER will be installed on the 1000th locomotive running this fuel savings software This business expansion continues six years of rapid growth where the Fort Worth operation grew from 16 employees to more than 80. TDS is looking for project managers, systems engineers, safety specialists, and software developers, Hawthorne said. The new building will provide the extra room to house the existing and planned staff, including amenities such as a full kitchen, baby sitting and a gym, and will be closer to the airport and other area technology companies.”
