Gannett Fleming taps Michael McNamara for top spot

McNamara, P.E., has named president of Gannett Fleming Transit & Rail Systems, a division of Gannett Fleming specializing in transit and railroad track, signal, communication, and electric traction design. A senior associate based in the firm’s Valley Forge, Pa., office, McNamara previously served as executive vice president and chief operating officer of the division.
With more than 35 years of experience, McNamara has an extensive background in the design, construction, and maintenance of railroads and transit systems. He specializes in train control, traction power, and communications systems for rail transportation.
“As we continue to expand our capabilities and broaden our presence throughout the U.S. and abroad, I am confident that Mike’s leadership abilities and extensive experience will help our clients realize success,” said David B. Thomas, senior vice president and national director of transit and rail for the firm.
McNamara succeeds Raymond L. Hofsass, P.E., who retired in December.
