Frauscher Sensor Technology, an Austria-based axle counting and wheel detection system provider, has completed ISO 27001 certification for information security management systems.

Frauscher Sensor Technology’s processes, guidelines and technical security measures were subjected to a comprehensive review. Subsequently, all of the respective processes were confirmed to meet the applicable requirements and to comply with the audit criteria of ISO 27001, the company reported July 11.
Certification under the internationally recognized standard “serves as evidence that Frauscher has a robust and efficient information security management system in place,” the company said. The system, it noted, encompasses all pertinent aspects related to the confidentiality, integrity and availability of sensitive information. Frauscher Sensor Technology pointed out that certification also recognizes its ability to identify potential IT security-related risks, to evaluate their significance, and to take appropriate measures to safeguard the security of its systems and data.
Certification not only boosts customer confidence, but also increased company efficiency since an array of internal processes “have been streamlined and optimized” by implementing comprehensive security controls and procedures, according to Frauscher Sensor Technology.
“Our dedication to maintaining a secure environment for our stakeholders has always been the utmost priority for us and this certification serves as tangible evidence of our unwavering commitment to safeguarding information,” said Walter Hofbauer, Chief Information Officer and Chief Information Security Officer at Frauscher Sensor Technology.
In related developments, Andrzej Bartnik in 2022 took over as Chief Technology Officer at Frauscher Sensor Technology.
