The Director, Office of Planning and Policy Analysis will support FRA’s mission by providing senior leadership and accountability for the coordination of a national rail strategy, including national planning and sustainability activities; rail network planning, to include network route analysis, business case analysis and capital asset planning along with the development of tools for regional and state planners; and industry analysis to evaluate passenger and freight industry performance to provide policy and investment decision support for both grants and loans. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the policy and economic challenges facing the transportation or other infrastructure-related industry; and experience in strategic, program and capital planning, and application of analytical and modeling tools to support policy development.
