CSX yard to expand RailCom DOC system
Written by William C. Vantuono, Editor-in-ChiefCSX will be expanding its RailComm Domain Operations Controller (DOC®) System located in Willard, Ohio, says Fairport, N.Y.-based Railcomm. The DOC System will be modified to add three (3) additional power switches to the Eastbound Receiving Yard. Additionally, the system will include advanced avoidance blocking functionality; this will ensure that all tracks are protected. 
The RailComm DOC System provides individual switch control and entrance-exit (NX) routing selection to all locations. Full event-recording capability is included, allowing for the download of recorded events for offline processing and evaluation.
