Supply Side: Bohr Electronics, INFORM

Chattanooga, Tenn.-based Bohr Electronics introduces fuel transfer-pump repair for locomotive maintenance shops in North America. Also, INFORM deploys its stack management and crane optimizer system at the first of two Norfolk Southern (NS) terminals.

The Northeast Alabama Regional (NEAR) Megasite is said to be the largest tract of industrial property in north Alabama. Owned by Etowah County, it is located along a Norfolk Southern mainline and interstate I-59.

Norfolk Southern’s (NS) Industrial Development team and economic developers in Etowah County, Ala., and at the Gadsden Etowah Industrial Development Authority have moved on to Phase 3 of a 1,100-acre industrial development site, to which the Class I has committed $8.7 million over the past three years.

FTA Reopens Emergency Relief Program Funding Application

The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) on Aug. 2 announced that it is reopening the availability of approximately $110 million under the Public Transportation Emergency Relief Program to transit agencies affected by major disasters in calendar years 2017 and 2020-2022.
