Schumer: Check rail employees against federal terror watch list

New York U.S. Senator Charles E. Schumer noted Dec. 11 that rail and mass transit employees are not crosschecked with the federal terror watch list and “it is just not acceptable that every single front line transit employee is not checked against the federal terror watch list like airlines do.”

STB seeks nominations for RSTAC

The Surface Transportation Board (STB) is seeking nominations for candidates to fill a small shipper representative vacancy, and a Class I railroad representative vacancy, on the Board’s Railroad-Shipper Transportation Advisory Council (RSTAC), and is soliciting suggestions for candidates to fill these vacancies.
