CAHSRA settles with County of Kern

Months before his previously announced official retirement as CEO, Hunter Harrison has abruptly severed all ties with Canadian Pacific, handing the company’s reins to President Keith Creel. According to numerous reports, Harrison will attempt to take control of CSX, which in 2014 had rebuffed a merger attempt by CP.

AAR: Total weekly U.S. traffic up 2%

The Association of American Railroads (AAR) on Jan. 18 reported for the week ending Jan. 14, 2017 total U.S. weekly rail traffic was 516,229 carloads and intermodal units, up 2% compared with the same week last year.

OPW marks 125 in 2017
