IANR M/W Employees Join BMWED

Iowa Northern (IANR) railroaders have signed on with the Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way Employes Division (BMWED) of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, the union reported Jan. 13.

Kentucky Seeks Input on Statewide Rail Plan

Kentucky’s transportation officials are completing the 2024 Statewide Rail Plan and invite the public to provide feedback to help guide freight and passenger rail planning and project development needs through 2045.

The 11-mile initial operating segment of Honolulu’s planned 20-mile, 21-station autonomous (driverless) Skyline, an urban rail transit GoA4 (Grade of Automation) system, marked one year of revenue service on June 30, 2024. The second segment, with 5.2 miles of guideway and four stations, is expected to open by the end of 2025. (HART Map)
