The New Jersey Herald on Aug. 8 reported that New Jersey Rep. Josh Gottheimer, U.S. Rep. Matt Cartwright (D-Pa.) and Amtrak officials visited the future Andover, N.J., station site, to which New Jersey Transit will run commuter rail service and from which Amtrak will operate intercity passenger rail service to Scranton, Pa.

Amtrak and New Jersey Transit’s (NJT) passenger rail service project between Andover, N.J., and Scranton, Pa., is advancing. ITS Logistics’ Indiana warehouse has a new addition to help provide distribution space within close proximity to midwestern rail ramps and inland ports.

ITS Logistics Expands Midwest Operations

The national distribution space for ITS Logistics, a 3PL firm based in Reno, Nev., has grown to nearly 4 million square feet with a new 700,000-square-foot addition to its existing Indianapolis facility. That facility is located near the inland ports of Burns Harbor, Mount Vernon and Jeffersonville, as well as the rail ramps of Chicago and Indianapolis.

EPA Eyes Air Emissions Reporting Requirement Revisions

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is proposing changes to its Air Emissions Reporting Requirements, which would involve state, local and certain tribal air agencies providing emissions data using different approaches and owners/operators of some facilities reporting additional emissions data.
