AAR: Downward Carloads, Intermodal Trend Continues in Week 5

Total U.S. rail traffic was 486,8545 carloads and intermodal units for Week 5 (ending Feb. 7, 2026), down 3.2% from the prior-year period, the Association of American Railroads (AAR) reported Feb. 11.

Wabtec: ‘Strong’ 4Q25, Full-Year Results

“The Wabtec team delivered a strong fourth quarter and full-year results, reflecting the strength of our business and our ability to execute in dynamic markets,” President and CEO Rafael Santana said in a Feb. 11 earnings announcement. FRA Issues Final Reflectorization Rule

The Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) has issued a final rule concerning reflectorization of rail freight rolling stock. The rule, 49 CFR Part 224, which went into effect on Jan. 27, “codifies waivers and removed an outdated implementation schedule.”
