CHSRA Issues RFQ for Electrified High-Speed Trainsets

The California High-Speed Rail Authority’s (CHSRA) Board of Directors on Aug. 24, as part of a two-step procurement process, approved the release of a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to industry for the nation’s first 220 mph electrified high-speed trainsets.

When it begins operation in 2024, the new Lexington facility will incorporate some of the latest technologies found in Siemens Mobility's Sacramento facility.

Siemens Mobility on Aug. 23 broke ground on its $220 million advanced manufacturing and rail services facility in Lexington, N.C., which the company says will “create more than 500 new jobs and be of one of the city’s largest employers.”

Sener Selected to Participate as ICE in Montreal REM

Engineering and technology group Sener has been selected to participate as the Independent Checker Engineer (ICE) on the new Montreal REM (Réseau Express Metropolitain), whose first segment between Brossard and Gare Centrale stations opened on July 31.

Auxo Acquires Cariboo Central Railroad Contracting
