UP, Tiger Cool to Reinstate Temperature-Controlled Intermodal Rail Service in Eastern Wash.

Union Pacific (UP) on May 5 announced a new partnership with refrigerated carrier Tiger Cool Express LLC to reinstate temperature-controlled intermodal rail service in eastern Washington.

USDOT: $327MM for Sound Transit Improvements

The U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) on May 5 announced that its Build America Bureau has provided low-interest loans totaling $327 million to the Central Puget Sound Regional Transit Authority (Sound Transit) for improvements to the transit system.

“We’re proud to support construction technology that helps communities build transit projects more quickly,” said U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg.

FTA: More Than $700MM to Replace Aging Passenger Railcars in Six States

R.J. Corman Opens New Emergency Division in Maine

R.J. Corman Railroad Services, LLC, a subsidiary of R.J.
