Job Description
Perform complex activities associated with railcar maintenance invoice auditing, develop complex auditing methods, and prepare reports of exceptions and trends.
Responsible for ensuring repairs performed and billed by others are in compliance with AAR Interchange Rules, taking actions as prescribed in the Interchange Rules when improperly performed or billed repairs are discovered. Prepare reports and develop data to support the company in arbitration or for negotiations with vendors over improper repair charges.
– Review and validate repair invoices with corresponding detail records, prepares and files
exceptions, and supervises subordinates.
– Investigate and allocate repair expenditures to the appropriate responsible party.
– Investigate and allocate materials purchase amounts to the appropriate individual railcar.
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of operations analysis experience.
Minimum Qualifications
Ability to research, compile, and perform complex analysis on critical operational data. Ability to independently provide summaries and make strategic recommendations on operational data. Possess excellent troubleshooting, resolution, technical, and critical thinking skills. Ability to partner and coordinate with other functions on projects. Has an advanced understanding of operations policies and procedures.
5+ years exp with railcar repair billing, auditing and AAR Interchange rule knowledge.
– Working knowledge of railcar components and all railcar types
