LaHood to speak at Railway Interchange 2011

U.S. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood will speak on Monday, Sept. 19, 2011, during Railway Interchange 2011 (www.railwayinterchange.org), the combined industry exhibition and technical conference being held in Minneapolis, Minn., Sept. 18-21, 2011.

ray-lahood-2.jpgThe address by Secretary LaHood takes place at the opening general session of the joint technical conference of the American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association (AREMA) and the Coordinated Mechanical Associations (CMA). Railway Interchange2011 also features an exhibition by members of the Railway Supply Institute (RSI), the Railway Engineering-Maintenance Suppliers Association (REMSA) and Railway Systems Suppliers, Inc. (RSSI). Technical sessions will be held in the Minneapolis convention center, and the exhibition takes place both at the convention center and on and off the tracks at the nearby Humboldt Yard.
