Honolulu Transit System selects Ansaldo joint venture

Vantuono, Editor-in-ChiefThe City and County of Honolulu, Hawaii, has awarded a contract worth $574 million to the Ansaldo Honolulu Joint Venture, a consortium of Ansaldo STS and Ansaldo Breda-Finmeccanica, for the design-build Honolulu High-Capacity Transit Corridor Project. The consortium will serve as Core System Contractor. The Ansaldo STS portion of the contract will be $367 million; the Ansaldo Breda portion will be $207 million.
